How To Enjoy Content Creation Instead Of Stressing About It
Had a lovely chat with Marc Guberti, as a guest on his popular Breakthrough Success podcast. Our main topic of conversation was how to enjoy content creation instead of stressing about it.
I kicked things off by assuring listeners that there’s a do-able path forward to a place where you earn enough to feel successful, but you’re not writing all day every day, and you’re not thinking about work all the time:
“Writing is a fun way to make a living. Or at least at some point, when you started doing it, you thought it would be a fun way to make a living.
And you weren’t wrong. You just lost your way.”
Marc and I both speak from experience. We’ve been where you may be right now. So our conversation naturally touched on practical realities, like budgeting and getting the bills paid on time, as well as the feelings inherent in writing day-in-and-day-out.
We talked about things like:
- What to do when you start feeling over-whelmed
- Why word count is a stressful way to gauge what “done” looks like (and what to do instead)
- How to develop a content creation groove where you’re earning enough money and working at a reasonable pace
- And more…
